fantasy thought

One of the usual very general distinction between sf and fantasy is that one has space ships and another elves in it. There are many great stories that blur the difference, of course, but is there any stories that have elves on spaceships in them? Or elves fighting alien invasion on Earth?

I am, probably, still asleep.

After I wrote it I remembered Michael Swanwick - his book Iron Dragon's Daughter has the mix high-tech and fair's world. Very good, though often slightly disturbing.

But I am still thinking of a kind of Space opera with elves instead of humans, and I can't remember any. ;)
