I steal some time before my class to wish a very happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] lynnb!

Happy birthday and a marvelous year, dear!

In other, less important news, I am watching s1 of Angel. Currently I am in between IWRY and Hero. I don't have much of insight so far - Ilet myself to be entertained, without trying to get to the depths of the 'verse. It is quite strange - to watch anew, knowing what will happen much later, but having no idea how the episode will turn up. I like Doyle, and try very hard not to get attach to him, feeling his clock ticking too loud. I know what will happen in Hero, I just don't know how.

Oh, and IWRY reminded me why I'll never be shipping B/A. The pointless angst level is just too high, and I want to kill them both. Angel - more painfully.

You summed up what I feel about B/A perfectly. I did like them in S2/3, but IWRY just had me rolling my eyes. Throught the whole episode. It's probably because I watched S1 after I finished watching the whole of BtVS, and so I'm deeply biased in my view on 'ships. But still. Pointless angst indeed.

I like their story in s2, smiled and cried and all. S3 generally is not my cup of tea, and IWRY...

By pointless angst I meant that it is pointless for Buffy - she doesn't remember any of it, and it kind of pointless for Angel himself - he has many other things that influence him. It, of course provide us with hours and hours of fun and some insight into Angel, so it is not completely pointless in this sense.

Hee. That's exactly what I did. I'd seen 'Home' and then went back and watched it all in order.

I want to kill them both. Angel - more painfully.
Heh. But it's obvious that he would never be happy to be her Riley!

He immediately had several times more issues about it than Riley ever - not to mention all his other issues piling up.

I know IWRY is suppose to be some incredibly romantic, heartwrenching episode where we lament their doomed love. Me? I want to ask Wes where that bucket is. ;-)

It was heratwrnching all right - mostly because it was a big deal in Angel's relationship with Buffy, and she has never nown about it.

IWRY , the horror. I’d thought we’d hit bottom in Amends but no, here’s a lower place. As Cordy would say. And Angel, if you really want to do right by Buffy you could start by bloody listening to her. Stupid hairloaf.

Yeah, but he knows what's really good for her, doesn't he? I like Angel a lot - when he is as far away from Buffy as possible. ;)
