It's a very beautiful area. I was in Phoenix and Sedona about two years ago. And the sheep! We have just one of those ornaments. At least, it looks like one we've had for years.

I resisted getting a hat and cowboy boots. I did buy some really cool dinner table mats and towels as a gift for somebody else (with the Native American flute player Kokopelli).

Your pictures remind me how gorgeous and mesmerizing the SouthWest landscape can be. [sniffle] I wish I had spent more time at the Grand Canyon.

Actually, that was my husband, and he didn't get to the edge of it: some people did!

I wanted to buy lots of touristy stuff - Kokopelli included - but I didn't want to trouble myself with exchanging money, so I left Arizona wiht only one new thing: a pretty stuff for my hair - which has no local flavour, but pretty. ;)

Yeah the hats are remarkable. I was more facsinated wiht boots - I've never thought there are going to be so many different pairs of them - and they are not a mere curiousity, either!
