I always use bicycle when I have to get to the Liquor Store to buy my vodka.

I am also seriously considering to do some damage to all the construction machines in our street.

::ponders:: can they issue a DUI if you're on a bicycle, rather than driving a car? /ponder

What is DUI?

Anyway, it is not like I am riding the bicycle being drunk.

A girl after my own heart.

Well, except for the bicycle.

Oh, do I hear you! There has been construction on my street for 2 years. I want to throw the construction equipment in the Mississippi River.

And how very Russian of you. Mmm, vodka. :)

For two years? Crazy.

And vodka is not as much Russian as economical: it goes more slowly than wine, and is good for making cocktales. Besides, I bought beer, too.

Don't even get me started on construction.

We can always start with vodka. ;)

LOL.

Reminds me of a line in Bob Dylan's Just like Tom Thumb's Blues*

"I started out on Burgundy, but soon I hit the harder stuff."

*It's a great song, with great lines and a great, dirty, fucked-out, drugged-out, world-weary melody. Bout an American on a Hunter Thompson gimlet-eyed tour of the seamier side of Juarez Mexico.

Thanks for the song. I'd love to hear it. And I would definitely started out on Burgundy, and then stopped there. ;)

Btw, I was talking with gobi_rex in the previous post about accents, and I wonder how do I sound? I assumed that I have a strong Russian accent, but what if not?

You definitely have a noticable Russian accent. But, I wouldn't say it's terribly strong.

Don't visit Michigan. At some point I think they'll change the nickname from 'The Wolverine State' to 'The Construction State'.

It is not the fact of construction as much as the horrible noise that seems more horrible from inside of our apartment than from outside. Some trick of acoustics.

Hee. I went for a walk this afternoon at work because I desperately wanted Twizzlers, and I figured I could justify them if I went all the way to the HandiMart for them instead of around the corner from my cubicle to the vending machine. No construction (this week), but on the way, a guy in a huge pickup on his way to McDonalds acted distinctly annoyed to encounter something so strange as a pedestrian. I watched him, and he had driven a much shorter route than I walked in his huge gas guzzler, all for a cheeseburger.

I felt very self-righteous until I got back to my desk and ate all the Twizzlers, giving myself a stomach ache.

Going back with the backpack full of bottles (multiple bottles of beer, not vodka) was actually pretty challenging exercise, but I am not sure that once a week exercise will be sufficient for me.

Man, I hate it when there's construction near my place too. How long are they going to be there for?

The sign nearby promises the road closure till October 15th. They are changing all the pavement and something else.
