life is scary

I have a blog on a Russian blogging service that's concentrates on parenting, pregnancy, children. It's been five years, and I made some good friends there, and following their lives has been mostly pleasant, rewarding experience. Most of people are around my age, +-10 years, so mostly it is news about kids, new pregnancies, work, vacations, new work, families, stuff like that. Health issues are of course there. But there are health issues and health issues. Sometimes... a half year ago, a lady a little bit younger than I am was diagnosed with cancer. She was not the first one on my friends' list there, but with her it just goes so fast - from "nothing to worry about" to "not much to hope for", and to witness it is horrible, knowing that there isn't much that onlooker can do. we were never particularly close, even virtually, and I don't have any useful advice, and... They collected some money, but the real need is right now is time and useful advice, because right now no one knows what to do exactly with her case, as several treatments didn't work.

As I am. Before cancer was something that much older people were afraid of. Now, it's my generation started fighting it...
