[livejournal.com profile] ascian3 tagged me, and here it is, the music meme:

1. Total volume of music files on my computer: 3.5 GB. Not much, but that because I still have most of the CDs non-transferred to mp3 and to computer. I also have lots of music on tapes, that I need to buy on CD.
2. The Last CD I bought was: Soundtrack to Kill Bill vol.2, last spring. I have a huge list of what I want to buy though.

3. The Last Song I Listened To Before Writing This: Fait Accompli, Curve – I had my iPod on “shuffle everything” mode, and this was the last one.

4. Five Songs I Have Listened To A Lot In My Life:

Hard to figure out, my memory is awful like that. I get obsessed with a song, listen it over and over again, then I stop and obsess about something else. I was half of mind to include the Anthem of the USSR for the sheer value of times I’ve heard it, but I didn’t actually listen to it.

I decided to include only songs of the last several years, and only in English.

1) People Are Strange - The Doors
2) The Flower Of Carnage - Meiko Kaji – From Kill Bill
3) Who Want To Live Forever - Queen
4) Summer Rain - Chris De Burgh - for some reason this song is strongly associated with The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy in my head.
5) The Infanta - The Decembrists

Boy, I am weird.

5. Five people I am passing this baton to, but only if they want to do so and if they haven't done it already:

Everyone who wants to do it! I am curious about everybody’s choices.

Yikes, I have less than a GB. I am a musically very small person. I have a lot on tapes and vinyl which I can't even play any more, it's like my dad's collection of 78s.

People are Strange is my favourite Doors song though I have an overblown affection for The End which an ex-boyfriend once sent me a tape of. I guess the relationship ended badly.

the reason why I don't have all our music library on computer is that I keep there what I listen on iPod, or the ones I don't have in any other form. The digital collection is growing more steadily than CD collection though.

I started listening the Doors rather late (probably five years ago), but it was an istant love.
