I know that songs not in English are not that popular, but I’ve found today several of my favourite Russian ballads – really old, XIX century-old, in a contemporary performance, and I want to share.
The melodies and the voices are amazingly beautiful, so I hope that incomprehensibility won’t be that of an issue. ;)
They are all about love and the passing of time, contemplating of past, future and forever, and if you need a more exact translation, just drop me a line.
The Foggy Morning The words are by Ivan Turgenev, music by V.Abaz.
Shine, My Star
White Acacia Ok, this one is not so old, more of stylized, but beautifully so.
