I hate to say it, but I think many of us are becoming desensitized. I saw a reporter state that many in Russia are just coming to accept the attacks as part of life. (He was an American, whether or not he was exaggerating how Russians feel, I do not know. You would be a better judge.) And I think the further we get from 9/11, we in the U.S. believe it won't happen again. At the same time, I look around and see how an attack could happen and I could be in the middle of it. But them we can't live our lives in fear and never leave the house. It's all very draining and numbing.
