It's hard for me to listen to anything in Russian at times like these. It just makes me feel more helpless and also guilty.
Incidentally, yesterday I dug out my Sviridov "Metel" soundtrack. I haven't listened to it in ages. And then I listened to B.Okudzhava and got dangerously close to crying. It's like I had a subconscious premonition.... this morning I opened the paper and learned about the school in Osetiya. Dear God, it was Sept.1st, first day of school. I hope they don't repeat what they did with Nord-Ost.
I am feeling guilty/helpless/bitter/pissed off/worried anyway, Yanka is so depressing in general, that I feel much better after listening to her.
and I have know idea how to resolve the conflict. I don't think they will do the same as with the Nord-Ost - I would think terrorists might be ready for it, too. And I have no idea what to do. If I were a president, I wouldn't get the forces out of Chechnya. Of course if I were a president I wouldn't start it there in the first place (the stupidest idea ever)

I also wouldn't ever be a president, so...
