after years when it felt like things are generally getting better, it is such a bummer to realize how easy it is to ruin everything...

At our staff conference this year, the guest speaker's subject was the different generations. He said that Gen X's overwhelming emotion was anger - because we were promised a better world, and it has failed to materialise.

It was uncomfortably accurate.
