My life is pretty normal. There are lots of everyday things to do, and I mostly manage to do only about half of what I planned and like 25% or 10% of what I actually wanted to accomplish. I guess, the fact that I haven't stopped screaming internally doesn't help. It takes a lot of energy not to scream aloud.

The knowledge that the world has ended, and most people don't notice or refuse to notice is really weird. THe knowledge that I basically live as if it didn't end is also weird. I know that it ended, but I just go on and kind of hope for the better.

After all, we are all fine.

I've gotten a dog: a black Labrador puppy whom I named Sirius. Because he is black, and I have little imagination.

I wanted a puppy, but didn't plan on actually getting one. So it's weird. And overwhelming. But at least now I have a puppy.

I watch the regular stuff on tv. I want to write, but barely manage it - how come I always have an excuse not to write, when I love to write? I read - slowly, too slowly.

I think that Sirius is a wonderful name for that dog.

*hugs*

Sirius might be my favourite dog name, all thanks to Diana Wynne Jones’s 'Dogsbody'. (If you don't know it, do yourself a favour and get it. Such a delightful book. I guess it's a children's/YA novel, but so good.)

I can't just keep re-reading Howls Moving Castle all the time, can I?
Well, no one would fault you for it, but her other books are awesome too. My favourites (the ones I kept reading as a teen) were Archer's Goon, Dogsbody and How's Moving Castle (+ the follow-ups). My children adore the Chrestomanci books.

But really, I can see how a dog grows into his name. :)
