Fannish summer continues

avrelia1) I've watched Spider-man: Far From Home. And have nothing to say about it. like - no deep analysis, no global meaning discovered, I am not even quite sure I loved it - I enjoyed watching it, yes, but now I am not sure.
- the kiss was nice and realistic.
- Dimitry was fine. Please don't kill him later or make him evil? Can I please have a non-dead, non-evil Russian character? Bad enough he looks scary.
- I loved the second post-credit reveal. Made sense out of a lot of the movie.
- cringe at all the destruction of the cities.
2) Also saw Shazam
- Zachary Levi is great, but he didn't feel like the same person as the kid. At all.
- in combination with Spiderman it was weird the amount of action with the ferris wheel in both movie.
3) I read so slowly these days, and my to read pile keeps growing. Imagine, I won a Tor.com sweepstakes for two books that I really want to read! That never happened to me before. I dutifully enter in all the stuff I am interested in, but without any hope. And suddenly I won!
4) I am still into Avatar The last airbender, and writing fanfiction. I consider it both an indulgence and an exercise - and I have the same problem there as in my original writing: I love writing dialogues and bad with plots and action. But at least I manage a chapter a week. Of course I am an unknown person who writes a weird story, so there isn't much feedback, but what can you do? I keep writing.

5) only 2 episodes in Stranger Things.

Date: 2019-07-18 07:16 pm (UTC)Since I'm also spending my summer indulging myself in writing fic in an obscure fandom, that I expect hardly anybody to read, I can only wave pompoms of encouragement! :-D Plus, I'm enjoying wandering along with Mai and Ty Lee and seeing where you're going to take them. I loved the show, and the comics, and those characters!
