Playing with LJ

Okey-dokey, I am playing in being an advanced LJ user. It doesn't work as well as it could. I changed the style to S2 Component, I filled my limit of userpics, I changed my mood themes, and I am not entirely satisfied.
Actually, I am entirely satisfied with my Kill Bill mood theme – made by be_found, and I am very tempted to put my moods arbitrarily, just to show it off.
But there are other things (I don't have to waste all this time on them, but i do) that I'd like to ask those who already did it.
1) How to make an icon for every entry appear on my page – not only the default one in the corner?
2) How to change colours of the font, other parts of layout?
3) How to put a picture on the background?
4) Where can I find answers on all these questions?

To play around with colours, go to http://www.livejournal.com/customize/ and click on 'Edit Customizations'. There should be four tabs at the top - Layout, Colors, Presentation, Text - and clicking on any one of those tabs allows you to make alterations. When you've finished working on a section, you need to click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

To make an icon appear on each entry, click on the 'Presentation' tab, and scroll down to 'Recent userpics'. Make sure you have 'yes' highlighted.

To add a backround image, you first need to have the image uploaded somewhere that allows remote loading - presumably you have somewhere as you've posted photos here before. Photobucket.com is good. Then, under the 'Presentation' tab find the heading 'Background image' and add in the url of the image you want to use, ticking 'override default'.

I hope that all makes sense. Let me know if it doesn't work!

And as for #4? I have no idea. ;)

Wish I could help with the technicalities, but I suck at that kind of thing. I will, however, admire the very cool moodtheme. me like :)

It is cool, isn't it? I love all the BtVs/Ats ones, but there is too much of them on my friends' list. And this one is fresh and fitting.
