I feel old. With my new Avatar obsession I've started looking through Tumblr - and immediately felt like a weird elderly women who gets lost in new technology, discourse and slang... GAhhhhh! Bad enough that I still cann't use Twitter except for reading news...

I'll go cut some geese feathers and find some ink and parchment...

To be fair, Tumblr is TERRIBLY designed. Or rather, it's great for sharing things, but not for having a conversation or anything like that...

However, I might be able to help if you have specific questions? (For either Twitter or Tumblr)

with twitter i can easily find stuff, but I can't post anything twit-worthy, and can't have conversations there. it's weird, I know. this lj/dw format suits me the best, but people mostly moved on...

Most of my knowledge has been gained by just pressing stuff and seeing what happens... And I've not been on Tumblr in months, so it may all have changed!

Ah. Well I use my Twitter just to read other people's stuff, and liking/re-tweeting if it's something I want to 'save' for myself. I do not posses the skills needed for writing a good tweet.

also: I've learned so many new words - or new meanings of old words. I guess Daniel will start to bring new words from school soon, too. heh.

Ah yes. Especially with kids, you are introduced to many new words/concepts.

Although I am 'a cool mum' because I understand fandom and how it all works, so that's nice. :)
