The meaning of death, Avengers

Infinity War is over. All my thoughts about the death count proved wrong, and... whatever. It was powerful. But now I read the speculations are now about who will survive the next one… And I keep asking myself – why shouldn’t everyone?

Thanos won. it's easier to say who's left alive - basically, the original avengers. Those who've been with us the longest. The actors who're playing their characters for 6-10 years and kind of tired of them.

So obviously the thinking goes: to undo all that death we need to kill some more people. And preferably them: Tony, Steve Rogers, Thor, Natasha, Bruce... What else is there to do with them, right?

But. What new death can bring to the narrative? We already have lost half of the Universe. Why do we need more death, exactly? Yes, stakes are high. Yes, anyone can die. Yes, our heroes are ready to die to save everyone. But we know that already!

Is is not real enough? Do you want it to be serious? Don't bring anyone back. "We don't trade in lives", remember?

so basically, to make it really powerful, I think everyone should survive the Avengers 4.

After all, one of the most horrible things that happened to Buffy was not being dead, but being brought back to live.
