We have a gorgeous view from our windows due to the fact that we live now on the 32nd floor. The height doesn't freak me out; the fact that we live in a walking distance from the Central park does. It won't last, of course - probably not longer than a year, and then we will be thinking here to live again, but it is going to be interesting while it lasts.
The hardest thing now is the small adjustments. The tiny differences and roadblocks that one hardly think about until they hit. Like the fact that I cannot download anything to my iPod from the AppStore - I can do it only in Canada, apparently.
We also have to buy a lot of small things at once, which doesn't seem like huge expenses but is, and I am happy that I talked P out of throwing Everything out like he wanted. It is really hard to live without Everything, and I just don't see the sense in it, you know? We have gotten rid of lots of stuff, including half of our library, anyway.
D. seems to be taking to NY really well. Especially its playgrounds.
