Am I a watcher, because I watch?

I watched Dead Things some time ago – in nth time. I’d love to point on something and make a smart remark, but only new detail I notice was that Willow wore the same shirt as at the end of the season, while “darkphoenixing.” I enjoyed seeing Scoobies, I wanted to hug those idiots, and shake them and tell them something (I haven’t decided what).

I also gakked a meme from doyle_sb4 that I find interesting:

Monty Python honestly surprises me, cause most folks who like it are, well, English ;) I even get surprised with American-born people dig it.

oh, several things. But I'll go with murasaki shikibu, cause I've never even heard of him/her/it. And marina tsvetaeva, too, cause that's just a cool name. Details would be good :)

Hmm. I don’t think we can’t explain why something seems funny and something is not. I have rather eclectic taste, which includes British humour. My husband doesn’t like Monty Python, despite my efforts.

Marina Tsvetaeva was a Russian poet, first half of XX c. She is my favourite poet, biggest influence, and generally the first poet I discovered I can read for pleasure, not because I was told to do so at school.

Murasaki Shikibu was a Japanese lady, contemporary of Sei Shonagon. I read her Diary, it was a curious parallel to Sei Shonagon’s the Pillow Book. Murasaki Shikibu is more famous for her Tale of Genji, but I never read this one.

I don’t have AtS in interests? Have to remedy that. Tarantino doesn’t interest usually, I cannot say that I love his other movies, but Kill Bill got me.
