Since everybody is doing this meme, here is mine.
What's the last thing you ate? Coffee and sweet toasts for breakfast. What I call sweet toast is slice of bread drenched in egg-sugar mix and toasted.
What's your favorite cheese? The one with big holes. Swiss?
What's your favorite fish? Salted herring. I also love salmon roe, and some fish I don’t know English names of.
What's your favorite fruit? Peach, apcicot.
When, if ever, did you start liking olives? When they became available in Russia. It was an instant liking.
When, if ever, did you start liking beer? Never. I can drink in a company, but don’t enjoy.
When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish? Don’t remember, but I really like only shrimp and crayfish.
What was the best thing your mum/dad/guardian used to make? The best? I like everything almost. My father likes experimenting with ingredients, so once in a while the end result is inedible, but mostly great. Mom is a more traditional kind of a cook, but I cannot pick up one or two things.
What's the native specialty of your home town? Hmm… Something very Moscow? Cakes? I would go with the variety of cakes.
What's your comfort food?: depends on a mood. Sometimes ice cream, sometimes pickles, sometimes tea, sometimes dumplings.
What's your favorite type of chocolate?: Russian. Bitter. With hazelnuts and raisins.
How do you like your steak? I don’t like steaks particularly. But if I eat one – medium rare.
How do you like your potatoes? With mushrooms.
How do you take your coffee? The brewed coffee – dark, the instant – with milk and sugar.
How do you take your tea? No bags. Bags are evil. I love good black tea from leaves, with sugar, and sometimes lemon.
What's your favorite mug? With a letter “A” on it.
What's your biscuit or cookie of choice? Something buttery.
What's your ideal breakfast? Coffee and sandwich.
What's your ideal sandwich? Good bread, lots of stuff in between.
What's your ideal pizza (topping and base)? Less base, more toppings – the more different toppings, the better.
What's your ideal pie (sweet or savory)? With mushrooms.
What's your ideal salad? Cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, green onion, fresh dill, salad leaves, sour cream.
What food do you always like to have in the fridge? Milk.
What food do you always like to have in the freezer? Meat, dumplings.
What food do you always like to have in the cupboard? Sugar, coffee, tea, spaghetti
What spices can you not live without? Salt, pepper.
What sauces can you not live without? I can live without any sauces, but prefer to have sour cream, ketchup, soy sauce.
Where do you buy most of your food? Right now? The closest supermarket, vegetable market, butcher shop.
How often do you go food shopping? Twice a week.
What piece of kitchen equipment could you not live without? Stove/oven, fridge.
How many times a week/month do you cook from raw ingredients? Every day.
What's the last thing you cooked from raw ingredients? Baked chicken legs.
What meats have you eaten besides cow, pig and poultry? Lamb, rabbit
What's the last time you ate something that had fallen on the floor? You think I saved this moment for eternity? Don’t remember.
What's the last time you ate something you'd picked in the wild? Two years ago, I think. I pick up mushrooms in forest – those I am sure is edible. Same with berries, but mushrooms – it’s a thing. I don’t mean the hallucinogen ones, of course.

Mongolie grill: No idea how Mongolian it is, but you pick all ingredients you want (vegetables, noodles, meat, seafood, whatever, sauces, and the cook stir-fries it for you.
La Bogeda – Spanish tapas bar. See me in the picture after a lot of tapas and sangria.
