Oct. 11th, 2009 03:50 pmThank you for the birthday wishes. It was a somewhat strange day but nice one. I am probably very childish in this regard, but I love birthdays. For the birthday present I've got two coats from my husband - in one I look like an elegant lady, in other one I look like a young girl. We couldn't choose, so we ended up with both. At 33 I want to be an elegant lady, but sometimes with the ability to turn into a girl. I wonder if I should try to buy alcohol in that coat...
There was lots of food, and a cake, and we watched for the first time ever "When Harry met Sally." P only agreed to watch in because of my birthday, but he liked it after all.
Going back in reporting my celebrations, two week ago we had our ten year wedding anniversary, which we spent at Great Wolf Lodge, where I indulged my inner five-year old by splashing around, feeling slightly scared on giant water slides, playing silly arcades and picking up horse chestnuts. On the other hand, the idea that I have been married for ten years is freaking me out. How did it happen? Where did all this time go?
and a month ago I became a motehr of a two-year old. It is a strange and terryfying experience. D is way more interesting to be around, but also way more exhausting. I am looking forward to my mom's visit to let her take care of him for a couple of weeks. D. is still mostly talking in some unrecognizable language, but we get more and more attempts at human words and sentences. HE also learned some numbers and some letters. He knows the following letters: A, O, M, T, K and "Badyu-Badyu". He also knows if he takes M and turns in upside down, he gets "Badyu-Badyu".
Overall, life is not not bad, but very tiring.
