Moving is hell. That's pretty much it.

Why do we keep moving?

It really, really is. Does the new place have a/c? Do I already know the answer to this?

I don't really know - previous tenants were plannig to leave their old a/c unit, since they are laving to Vancouver. so it maybe there, otherwise we'll buy a new one. it's northern exposure, so hopefully sun wouldn't be as mean as here.

the bad news is that I got a call from rental office today, and they want to start painting the apartment when we move in: fresh paint + heat = we'll need to learn how not to breath.

Paint these days doesn't smell as nasty as it once did. Still, you could mutate I suppose. Well, try to mutate into something with superpowers, k?

Hee, yes it is. I made a post about my own moving hell, and can be surmised as such:

So, I've discovered there are four levels of packing:
Level 1: This is the beginning stage, where you are all gung-ho about packing and getting things done efficiently. Lists are being made, boxes are neatly taped and labelled. There is practically music bubbling around you.

Level 2: This stage occurs after a couple of hours of Level 1. At this point, you are still trying to be neat and all, but suitcases, backpacks, and any bags in reach are now being used and boxes have been abandoned. These suitcases are packed beyond their limit and would take 2 people to carry, but dammit, you're getting your entire closet in there if it's the last thing you do!

Level 3: This stage settles in when that zipper breaks on that overstuffed suitcase and there are no more boxes and fuck it, you're just going to stuff everything else into black bags and garbage cans or just shove it all into your car, because who the hell cares at this point? Stupid crap, why did i keep all this crap?! *mumblemumble*

Level 4: And finally, after hours of packing, repacking, planning, labelling, boxing and sweating, this is the stage where you are willing to throw away whatever is left just so you don't have to pack it. A new sweater? A vacuum? A television? A microwave? Who cares! I don't want to pack anymore! DIE DIE DIE!

Hee :)

oh yeah. I think my stages were slightly different, and now I am sitting in the new apartment surrounded by boxes and bags, and have no desire to unpack them...
