I slipped into the lurking mode in the past weeks – unnoticed, unplanned, and now it is the time to post something already. I was starting to post several times and then just dropped it, being a martyr of a strange ennui.

I am not in a bad mood – the mood comes and goes, today’s good, tomorrow’s better, but the reluctance to post stays. I do – as usual – compose lines in my head. But no one can read my head, and I am pretty sure I whouldn’t want them to.

The weather is grey today, but it was better, and it will be, hopefully, soon.

So, what was happening?

1) I watched the Olympics. Well, it probably demands the whole separate post, even though it is plausible to expect it to be finished by the next Olympics.

2) I bought two DVDs – the combination of decent prices and the fresh pay check and the spring proved to be too seductive: As the result I am a happy owner of Clueless and the Cutting Edge. I haven’t seen the latter one before, and bought it due to my flist evil influences – and I loved it a lot. The Russian trainer amused me very much, and the nagging sense of recognition prompted me to discover that he was, in fact, Wesley’s RoboDad! So cool!

3) We spend most of the free time playing World of the Warcraft. My husband, and I, and our friends. We meet and talk about quests and instances and stuff, we at home – and we are online playing more often than not. We have different styles of play – husband loves killing monsters and levelling up, I prefer doing quests – the wackier the better, and everyone but me seems to be going to battleground often (I always end up busy doing something else). We also have a chatty guild that I love a lot.) Last Saturday we happened to watch some horror movie on Space with giant spider in it. My first thought at the sight of Spiders: will they drop the spider silk? Husband’s – preparing the spells… sorry for all the wow slang. ;)

4) Citizenship test is suddenly very soon.

5) Blah… I was enjoy the winter in the February, but now I am all about the spring. Spring! Come here!

6) I am reading and writing but ho so slowly, and piles to read and to write are growing ang growing with the frightening force. And I am working only three days a week! Well, it was growing when I didn’t work at all, so no surprises here.

The Cutting Edge is my dirty little secret (well, not so secret anymore). I was so obsessed, it's not even funny (I was 15, 16 then). I ignored the Russian stereotypes and all the other silly stuff and just concentrated on the addictive gleeworthy goodness. And I still can't resist whenever it's on TV.

Actually I found that the stereotypes were not that bad, so they just amused me.

at 16 I and my friend were obsessed about Формула Любви - knew the whole movie by heart.

Селянка, хочешь большой, но чистой любви?

Good to hear from you, my dear :)

The idea of a ciizenship test is strange to me (we have ads on the tellie begging people to take out citizenship!), but best of luck!

Thanks! my head now is full of fun facts about Canada.

THe test is obligatory, but it is very easy actually - more like confirmation of the serious intention, it requres not much more than a very basic knowledge about history and politics of Canada and rights of the citizens.

I am much more freaked about the necessity to sing Canadian Anthem. ;)

Good to hear from you! I played Warcraft (PC game), probably not the same thing you're talking about, but ooh, it was addictive...

It is created by the same company and set in the same world, basically you create a character and play in the on-line world of Azeroth with other people you may know or not. and it is awfully addictive, but so much fun!
