I am getting ready for the New Year
Dec. 27th, 2005 05:12 pmI put the fir branches into various jars and decorated them snowflakes.
So now I have five decorated trees in my apartment!
I went to the Russian product store today and bought Food necessary for my good New Year mood, such as:
- bread
- marinated tomatoes (cannot figure out why it seems to be a non-existent item in supermarkets - what is so unusual about them?)
- salted herrings (Mmm...)
- hard-smoked sausage
- pelmeni (Russian dumplings; I thought of making them, but it takes a lot of time)
- salmon roe (we love it so much more than the sturgeon one, also known as caviar)
- Tula pryanik (spice cake?)
- Kefir
Now I am pondering buying presents... And drinking without getting drunk... and a wish to make at midnight...
