here, in Canada, usually if you don't pay for cable or satellite services, you have no TV at all. Which can be fine, or not - depend on a person. We don't watch TV much, and certainly don't need many channels, but - without tv at all in the foreseeble future - it feels weird. (vacations don't count)
Yet this post is outdated - for now explainable reason we have our channels back.
