Hey, I've read both of these books too! This is notable because I've had such a hard time finishing books in the past year - Mexican Gothic was actually the book that broke a months long reading slump for me. I really loved the setting, both the time and place. It was such a refreshing change from most gothics that I've read. And Piranesi was just beautiful. Dreamlike is the perfect word for it.
