When you find perfect songs for the fanvids and then realize:

1) you have no idea how to make fanvids and no time to learn that skill

2) it’s only going to be amusing for you and maybe another couple of dozen people, because it’s old Russian kids’ songs and nobody cares.

I once had the most wonderful experience, consisting of the following sequence of events:

1) I was on a road trip with my family (practically the only time I listen to pop music), and "Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls came on the radio, and I thought "Wow, that would be perfect for a Spike/Angel shipper vid. Too bad I don't know how to make vids."

2) I mentioned this thought to [personal profile] yourlibrarian.

3) As a surprise for me, she commissioned the vid through the Sweet Charity fundraiser.

4) [personal profile] giandujakiss made the vid.

5) This vid now exists in the world.

LOL!

Oh, I can identify. Although not so much with the old Russian kids songs. But I wouldn't say nobody cares -- I, for one, would find that interesting.

Oh, I really enjoyed that, thank you. It's interesting how you don't really need to know the words to understand the music. Also how certain concepts and feelings are universal in various languages and cultures.

Also made me want to re-watch all the Harry Potter films.
