a news that is sad, with tiny sadness: Book Depository is closing down soon.

I am still buying more books than I read, even though I am reading more books this year. Kind of funny, I stopped reading fanfiction, and now I read books again.

I am not sure why the fanfic stoppage happened though - I still love what I love, I just... can't be bothered to look for what I want. And the my to read pile of books is right there.

First time ever, I sold some books I had - some books in Russian, as I am not sure anyone wants to buy English books I no longer need. But second-hand sales of Russian books is thriving. I am not sure if anyone can make any profit of it, but it is nice to recover some money (to spend it on more books). It is hard to buy Russian books "the easy way" - regular Russian online bookstores don't deliver to US now, and from other countries the delivery is difficult as well, so we all make do. it is quite random though - you might happen on something you need or you may miss it. Or the price will be weird. or something.

and yet. Funnily enough just yesterday I went to San Francisco with kids and beside the museum that was our main goal I went to the Russian bookstore and the Russian cafe both of which are pretty old features of SF city life.

speaking some more about me, I am in my "woe is me" phase, as I am unable to meet with any of my friends for a month or two, I begin to imagine I am so horrible no one wants to see me (I know that everyone has reasons, I am here the unreasonable one. Just lonely)
