(no subject)

I think I'll do the update here, since I keep forgetting to do double when posting on Dreamwidth. Also, I can include pictures here.

LIfe is fine, as much as it can be. Strangely, it seems I was much more hopeful a year ago. Now I am mostly exhausted.

There was this shiny naive idea that as soon as working vaccines are created, things will slowly get back to normal...

But. Vaccines are created, and here we are.
1) people don't want to be vaccinated
2) people who want to vaccinated don't have access to vaccine they want
3) governments are playing political games with vaccines
4) virus is changing and not for the better (not for humans)
5) we can still pretend we are fine.

I realize how much I used to have my mom visiting once a year. Will she ever travel to USA again? No idea. 1) she is vaccinated with Sputnik V, as it is available and pretty good, but not accepted in USA , and 2) USA is not giving tourist visas in Russia, because.

I mean those are small things, on a global scale. But still rather painful. We are all doing what we can, distancing, vaccinating, being careful, and still...
I guess, being alive is a huge gift, won't argue with it, but...
