There a lots of reasons one might oneself unable to continue giving a home to a pet, and I'm glad the responsible pet-owners on the communities you follow are searching out new homes for them!

Many years ago, a couple we're friends with adopted a kitten, and then discovered they had terrible cat allergies. They asked us to adopt her (since our own old cat had died not very long before that), and we had a wonderful thirteen years with her!
