Game of Thrones things

1) You know, one thing I, at the time, don't want for finale to happen is Tyrion and Sansa ending together. I like Tyrion, and I love Sansa, and I think at this point she really really doesn't want to be married to anyone.

2) Otherwise, I am rooting for the giant flu epidemic (Spanish/Dornish?) to wipe out all the rest of Westeros population. It would be both shocking and realistic. WIn-Win!

3) a bit of fannish disclosure: I was never that big of a fan of the TV series. First seasons were too full of graphic sex and violence for my taste. THen they were full of graphic sex and violence and too slow, and then too fast and with almost random character development. But I loved the characters as they were portrayed in the series. Many of the character moments and character interactions are the things that will stay with me forever. Even if they are too violent and horrible. And I love the fannish conversations surrounding the series- something I can still enjoy for years to come. ;)

Agreed. I feel the same way. There's some really good stuff in there, but you have to plow through a lot of stuff that I really don't want to see again to get there.

Also, there's a lot of other things to watch instead.

I'll watch the last episode, but after the last two episodes, I have very low expectations. And after seeing the cast interviews on it? Even lower. Kit Harrington deemed it "disappointing", Emilia Clark laughed nervously while deeming it as the best ever, very tongue in cheek, and Nicolai Costa-Walder and Peter Dinklage...seemed to indicate likewise.
So low expectations.
