Silly Buffy ramblings

finally remembered to post my ramblings from the week-old Buffy rewatch of The Initiative. Nothing cheers up the tired fandom, as Buffy herself. And lots of brandy.

There are so many loveliest moments that one forgets completely. I like watching Riley and his friends ogling Buffy and discussing – I know, not the best but I am always amused how wrong they are. I love Riley's awkwardness around Buffy, and his ease with Willow. I love Riley around Buffy when it is all awkward flirting and jokes, right until Doomed when he suddenly gets an official boyfriend status. I almost want him to court Willow instead, though it, of course, won't be good for them, either.

I pay attention to Willow's dressing patterns, and I noticed that her main problem is coordination. Very often she has one really good piece on, but it clashes horribly with everything else. For example, she wears dark red top in this episode that I like, but with red pants that might be fine with something else, but altogether she looks like a very sad tomato. Which was probably the idea. Or, of course, she often has several horrible pieces on, that add up to each others horribleness. One might say, coordination is the problem Buffy has as well, but Willow is consistently wears what shouldn't be worn together. Buffy has moods. And the idea that black camisoles should be worn under white tops.

Back to the moments - Xander and Giles preparing for patrol, Xander and Harmony's fight, Spike... all is good. :^)
